Senate Looks to Give Rebates for Creating Solar

Iowans are getting a little help from Senate Democrats to give them rebates for producing renewable energy.

A new $10 million bill woul provide rebates for businesses, homes, and farms that implement solar energy sources, including solar hot water systems or solar panels for heating. Along with federal tax incentives, it could bring down the cost of installing a solar system by 60 percent.
