New York Jets Go Green

Despite their recent loss to the Steelers, the New York Jets still have a claim to fame.

In 2010, the New York Jets decided to up its eco-appeal by installing the largest photovoltaic panel installation in the NFL on top of their team headquarters in Florham Park, New Jersey.

The team had 3,000 solar panels installed and the Jets paid no upfront costs for the panels and will buy energy as they go. The panels are estimated to provide upward of 750,000 kilowatt-hours of power per year.
