Price of Solar Dropping

According to a report released by Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, in coordination with the United States Department of Energy, the price of photovoltaics has declined of the past dacade. It has decreased from $10.80/watt to $7.5/Watt.

A combination of technology for productivity and increasing efficiency is bringing about cheaper panels for homeowners and business owners.

Currently the cost of solar is at an all-time low and incentives are at an all-time high. Right now is the best time to purchase solar. As more homeowners and business purchase photovoltaics, the price will decrease, but the rebates will decrease faster. This means the total cost to the homeowner will increase as the rebates decrease. So now is one of the best times to purchase a photovoltaic solar system.
